The Clausura 2026 Liguilla of Liga MX is gearing up for an exciting showdown. This coming Sunday, May 3, Club América will host Pumas UNAM at Estadio Azteca for the first leg of the Quarterfinals. Anticipating thousands of fans, Mexico City authorities, including the Secretariat of Citizen Security (SSC) and the Secretariat of Mobility (SEMOVI), have implemented a special security and mobility operation to ensure access to the iconic stadium.

This initiative becomes crucial due to the announced closures by the Collective Transport System Metro (STC) on Line 2, which will affect service from May 1 to 3. Therefore, fans of the Eagles and Pumas will need to consider alternative transport routes to reach Estadio Azteca, with special RTP and Trolleybus services presented as the primary solution.

SEMOVI, through the Passenger Transport Network (RTP) and Trolleybus units from the Electric Transport Service (STE), will offer a special service for attendees of the capital derby. These routes will operate from 13:00 to 21:00 hours, covering ample time for fan arrival and departure. The service cost will be $22.50 pesos and can be conveniently paid with the Integrated Mobility Card.

Various strategic routes have been established to facilitate access to Estadio Azteca. Departure points include: Auditorio Nacional (corner of Av. Paseo de la Reforma), Santa Fe Shopping Center (Juan Salvador Agraz 30-20), Six Flags (Carr. Picacho-Ajusco Km 1.5), Xochimilco Ecological Park (Canal de Garay), Parque México (Av. Sonora), San Jerónimo (Tarasquillo S/n), and CETRAM Constitución de 1917. All these routes will converge at CETRAM Huipulco, a key point for the final transfer to the stadium.

This coordinated effort aims to ensure that thousands of fans can enjoy the “fiesta grande” of Mexican football without travel hitches. All attendees are advised to plan their journey in advance, using these alternative RTP and Trolleybus routes to avoid crowds and arrive on time at Estadio Azteca to support their team in this crucial Liguilla match.
